GUEST POST ~ Is This Your New Normaal?
Absolute Surrender; Undistracted Devotion
by Mike Higgs
We heard a startling and sobering statistic the other day. According to the latest Gallop poll, 81 percent of Americans say they believe in God, which is the lowest percentage since Gallop started asking the question in 1944. Other polls tell us that around 63% actually identify as Christians.…

Church Growth: The Road Less Traveled …
Together Chicago: Love Your School Prayer Corners During a season of extended fasting in 2022, the Lord gave me a blueprint for the Love Your School Prayer Corners, activating the Church into the spaces around schools to stand in the gap for students, teachers and faculty on a weekly basis. We launched the initiative on Memorial Weekend 2023 during Hands Across Chicago. Today, we have 15 schools that have been adopted by a LYS Prayer Champion, who goes to a corner near their…

"Be filled (yielded to) the Spirit..." in Ephesians 5:18 is written as a: Prescription - this is an imperative for every disciple/follower of Jesus; it is not an option Plural - this command is given to the church community; God wants…

Read more…Six Reasons Why Change is a Non-Negotiable Mike Slaughter June 18, 2018 It has been almost a year since I transitioned out of local church ministry where I had served in some capacity for 45 years. The last 38 of those years had been as lead pastor at Ginghamsburg Church. Change is inevitable. I am writing this while preparing to organize a group meeting in our home this evening for the purpose of planning our 2019 fifty-year high school class reunion. Fifty years! How did I get to be…
Read more…A Worldview Perspective on Bible Study By Freddy Davis Bible study is a very common practice among Christians and there are a lot of different ways to go about it. Thanks for welcoming me to the Forum. I had thought I was already a member through the Prayer Leaders Network, but the sign in process wouldn’t allow me to sign in using my passwords from that site, so I created another account.
I had wanted to commend the article that I received from y’all by email about dealing with 4 realities that make it difficult for Intercessors/prayer ministry leaders and pastors/church leadership to build a praying culture in the church. I thought it was very insightful and a helpful perspective. Thank you for the article.
Hi Phil.
As a new member, I received 2 emails from you.
The first, informing me that my membership had been approved, contained 4 links all containing significant errors. None of the links worked, but I was able to deduce what the errors were so correct them for access. Not a good start! You should examine the links in the email that was sent two me to ensure this doesn't happen to other new members.
Links in the second email regarding my profile appear to be OK.
Steve
Thank you!
Thanks, Bro!!!
